Moving Dreams (2016/2017 Peterborough, UK)

Moving Dreams was a participatory multimedia project that involved an intergenerational and multicultural group of older people aged 60+, teenagers and young adults into the collection of stories about migration, settlement and belonging, and a final performance sharing.

The verbatim text used in the performance was devised using archival audio visual material (photos/ testimonies/ songs) and live recorded interviews to investigate the Italian migration to Peterborough between 1930s and 1970s.

The project was hosted by the Italian Community of Peterborough, who played a very important role to represent and support Italian migrants in Peterborough, and was supported by Spare Tyre Theatre and Peterborough Presents. Video content by threeblokesproductions, set design by figtreeartstudio. A special than you to the thegreenbackyard for hosting our first performance sharing and for all their support!
