Moving Dreams (Peterborough, UK)

Moving Dreams is a participatory multimedia project aimed at involving an intergenerational and multicultural group of older people aged 60+ and young adults into the collection of stories about migration, settlement and belonging, and a final sharing in the form of a scratch performance.

It use archival audio visual material (photos/ testimonies/ songs) and live recorded interviews to investigate the Italian migration to Peterborough between 1930s and 1970s.

The project is hosted by the Italian Community of Peterborough, who’s been playing a very important role to represent and support Italian migrants in Peterborough, and it’s supported by Spare Tyre Theatre and Peterborough Presents.

Watch this space to hear about the project’s first sharing, and the research and development for our ‘Moving Dreams‘ performance.
