Emma O’Rourke is an artist based in London. She is a graduate of Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London, and holds an MA from the University of Manchester. Her work is interdisciplinary and often collaborative, but usually takes the form of drawing, collage or video art. A keen storyteller, she is inherently interested in the relationship between visual artists and performers, alongside archival material, film, pop culture, banal moments and bingo.
She is one half of Well Made, a curatorial project aimed to spark conversations around art and health in places they might not usually occur, and partner of creative consultancy, 111 Collectiff, who produced St Leonards Festival 2016 and upcoming 2017. She has also worked as a marketing officer for Hoxton Hall and Royal Opera House.
She has exhibited work across the UK including Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, Hoxton Hall, London; The Glue Factory, Glasgow; Rogue Artists’ Studios and Project Space, Manchester; and was one of the selected artists for the Deptford X Festival 2013.
